Behold, some of the cutest people you will ever meet. Emily and Jim were a DREAM to work with to say the least. They were the couple that Sweet Emma Lou was created for. It became a one stop shop for a lot of their vision for their barn wedding smack dab in the middle of Virginia Beach. I love me some farm animals, and Hunt Club Farm has so many adorable ones! I highly recommend looking into Hunt Club Farm for your next event, or to you brides-to-be its a great option in the area!
Emily and Jim weren’t huge fans of cake, so we came up with a few options to highlight what they really loved which was Cobbler and Cheesecake. We created individual mason jar desserts for their guests that included Blueberry and Strawberry Cheesecake, and Apple and Peach Cobbler.
But we couldn’t stop there…Emily and Jim chose to serve all of their favorites! Candy, Cupcakes, and whats even better…a Doughnut Tower Cake! Jim is a huge fan of doughnuts and asked in our first meeting if it would be possible to include them on their big day! Each mason jar dessert had a wooden spoon tied to each jar with jute. I really loved the look of these, very unique.
Describe your wedding cake or dessert. Which one?! We had so many desserts, and it was because we simply couldn’t decide on one. Jim’s absolute favorite dessert is blueberry cheesecake, so Emma from Sweet Emma Lou put cheesecakes in small mason jars. I love apple and peach crisps, so she made them into mason jar desserts for me as well! We also had white almond raspberry and cookies and cream cupcakes, candy, macarons, donuts, and a six-inch cake for us to cut. We definitely went all out on desserts!
Stay tuned for more from their special day!
